H.I.D. Sport ltd. was founded in 1995 as a joint-venture. The company is based in Szolnok which is famous for its leather-working industry (HU, about 80 km south-east from Budapest Int. Airport). Shoes, leathercover for car seats, purses for women are just some products that are shipped from Szolnok into the world.
German management, Hungarian creativity, long standing know-how in the production process as well as new innovative ideas represent an optimal blend of abilities. Between 1996 and 1997 the former rented buildings of the company were bought and in addition to that the office and the operations scheduling were centralized.
In the beginning we only produced sewingproducts like bags, leadbelts etc. In 1998 we bought two high-frequency welding machines, to produce buoyancy compensator devices and buoys. Bit by bit we changed the old machines and today automatic belt cutting machines, speciall sewing machines (automatic stitcher, longarm sewing machines, computer-operated bartacker etc.) are at your disposition.
